Ira Photographers was established in 1974 to take photographs of pets and people, and more importantly, to make people feel comfortable and good about themselves.

Ira Nozik holds professional degrees of Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Association. He is one of fewer than twenty Master and Craftsmen Photographers in Connecticut, and fewer than 1200 in the entire United States.

He has won numerous state, regional and national awards, including Best of Shows, Courts of Honors, and the Hallmark Award.  His works have been displayed at Epcot Center at Walt Disney World, and he has had more than 60 prints accepted and hung at national conventions. Four of Ira's dog portraits have been accepted to the Loan Collection of the PPA traveling in the United States and Europe.

Ira Nozik has frequently been invited to speak at conventions on pet photography across the United States, from Florida to Alaska.  He has also lectured at numerous kennel clubs.
